Rocky Mountain Roofing Roof Replacement Service
Tar & Gravel Roof Replacement – We remove your old tar and gravel roof and replace it with a new TPO roof system. Flat roofs require a material that can withstand ponding water, thermal expansion and contraction, and years of abuse from the sun. We’ll install your new TPO roof replacement system, manufactured to suit your roof’s slope, drainage, and budget. The majority of flat roof replacements include correcting roof slope problems, adding more insulation, and installing new flashing around skylights, roof vents, and HVAC units.
Foam Roof Replacement – We remove your old foam roof and replace it with brand new TPO Roof System. Foam roofs have incredible life expectancy when maintained properly. However, once the foam roof coating starts failing and moisture penetrates the foam, it no longer makes sense to continue with repairs. We completely remove the old foam roof down to the deck, repair any structural damage, and install a new TPO roof system that will stand up to the intense UV we get from the New Mexico sun.
Tile Roof Replacement – We remove your tile roof and replace it with a new metal tile roof system. Tile roofs don’t usually fail in New Mexico because of the tiles. Tile roofs fail when the underlayment deteriorates after 20-30 years of beating UV radiation and heat. We tear off the old tiles, inspect the roof deck, install high-temp underlayment, and install a beautiful new metal roof system.
Asphalt Shingle Roof Replacement – We remove your asphalt shingle roof and replace it with a new metal roof system. Everywhere shingles are installed, they don’t last as long in Santa Fe, NM. The combination of heat, UV radiation, and monsoon rains beats them up in 15-20 years. We install architectural shingles specially designed for high-heat areas, which include additional UV and hail damage protection. All roof replacements include the tear off of old roofing materials, roof deck inspection, installation of new underlayment, and proper flashing at roof valleys and roof penetrations.

Signs You Need a Roof Replacement
Not every roof problem means you need a full replacement. But there’s a point where repairs stop making financial sense and a new roof is the smarter investment. Here’s how we help homeowners decide.
Isolated damage—a few cracked tiles, a small section of missing shingles, or localized flashing failure
Roof is under 15 years old—if the system is relatively new and damage is limited, repairs extend its life
Underlayment is still intact—on tile roofs, if the underlayment hasn’t failed, tile repairs are worth doing
Single leak source—one problem area that can be fixed without affecting the rest of the roof
Roof is 20+ years old—most New Mexico roofs hit the end of their service life between 15 and 25 years depending on material and maintenance
Multiple leak points—when leaks keep showing up in different areas, the system is failing, not just one spot
Underlayment failure on tile roofs—once underlayment breaks down across large sections, replacing tiles doesn’t solve the problem
Widespread shingle damage—curling, cracking, and granule loss across the whole roof—means the material is done
Structural deck damage—soft spots, sagging, or rotted decking—requires tear-off and replacement
You’re spending more on repairs than a new roof costs—if you’ve had three or four repair calls in two years, replacement makes more sense roofing consultants out with newly signed client for a roof replacement
